Efektivitas Pemberian Probiotik Multi Strain dan Zinc Bacitracin terhadap Bobot Badan, Lemak Abdomen dan Kolesterol Daging Broiler

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian untuk mengkaji efektifitas penggunaan probiotik multi starain dan antibiotik zinc bacitracin terhadap bobot badan akhir, lemak abdominanl dan kadar kolesterol daging dada broiler umur 35 hari. Desain penelitian yang digunakan, yaitu Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 4 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan, yaitu P1 (ransum basal + kontrol), P2 (ransum basal + probiotik 2,0 mL/hari), P3 (ransum basal + antibiotik 0,1 g/hari), dan P3 (ransum basal + antibiotik 0.1 g/hari umur satu hari dilanjutkan probitik 2,0 mL/hari dari umur 21 hari sampai umur 35 hari). Hasil analisis ragam menunjukkan terjadi pengaruh nyata (P<0,05) perlakuan pada bobot badan akhir, tetapi tidak berpengaruh nyata (P>0,05) pada persentase lemak abdominal dan kadar kolesterol daging dada broiler. Rata-rata bobot badan akhir lebih tinggi pada perlakuan probiotik (P2) dan antibiotik zinc bacitracin (P3) serta kombinasi keduannya (P4) dibandingkan kontrol (P1). Persentase lemak abdominal dan kadar kolesterol daging dada broiler lebih tinggi pada perlakuan antibiotik dibandingkan probiotik. Terdapat korelasi positif yang lemah antara petrsentase lemak abdominal dengan kolesterol daging dada broiler, yaitu R= 0,35 dengan model regresi Y= 147,34 + 9,2150X. Penggunaan probiotik secara tunggal atau dikombinasikan antibiotik dapat menjadi satu strategi untuk meningkatkan bobot badan dan menurunkan persentase lemak abdominal dan kolesterol daging broiler.
